We are looking for Head Chef
Monitor and control consistent standards in all areas of the Kitchen and Food production, to ensure that the highest quality of product is maintained at all times, and drive costs in line with Kitchen budgets and targets.
Be responsible for creating, costing and delivering new menus to the standards expected.
Be responsible for planning, organising and control of day-to-day operation of the department thereby ensuring the established standards of performance are maintained and total customer satisfaction is achieved.
Ensure HACCP is in place and adheres to at all times.
Supervise the work of the team, allocating special duties and responsibilities.
To set standards in conjunction with the team and maintain these standards through training and promotion of training in all areas.
Ensure good communication throughout the Kitchen department at all times.
To ensure the effective control of refrigeration and dry store goods to ensure food safety and that there is no waste.
To ensure that all food leaving the Kitchen is prepared and served to the pre-agreed consistent high standards.

We are looking for Sous Chef
Assist the Head chef in the planning, organising and control of the day-to-day operation of the department ensuring the established standards of performance are maintained and total customer satisfaction is achieved, whilst maintaining costs in line with budgets.
To assist the Head Chef in ensuring HACCP and Food Safety Regulations are in place.
Supervise the work of the kitchen team, allocating duties and responsibilities.
To assist the Head Chef in supervising all food preparation and production.
Ensure good communication throughout the kitchen department at all times.
Deputise for the Head Chef in their absence.
To adhere to the Food Allergens Regulations.

Skills, Competencies and Responsibilities:

We are looking for Experienced Bartenders
Experienced part time and full-time bar staff required to deliver a world class service in our luxury hotel.
Applicants must be well presented, have a great personality, and be focussed on customer service.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Being the first point of contact for guests offering excellent customer service throughout their experience with us

Cocktail experience desired

Representing the business in a positive and a professional manner

Delivering a world class food and beverage service to our guests

Restocking the wine store and bar

Handling cash and credit cards

Responsible for end of day close procedures.

Shift work including evenings and weekends

We are a well known 45 bedroom independent hotel in a North Yorkshire with restaurant and event facilities. An exciting opportunity has arisen for Chef de Partie with a focus on passion for food.

Reporting directly to the Head Chef or Senior Chefs this position will assist in the running of a busy kitchen.

Role and Responsibilities

• A Chef De Partie’s main responsibility in the kitchen is to ensure daily Mise en Place for a given section is done in a timely and efficient manner.
• As a Chef De Partie you will be trained by Senior Chefs on each menu item thus improving your knowledge and skill base.
• Chef De Parties will also be responsible for passing on training to Commis Chefs to help both their learning.
• You must be fully competent in running a section in a busy service

The chef de partie position offers amazing opportunities to learn from and be inspired by the senior chefs in the kitchen, which will help your passion for food and keep you on the path for a great career.

Key responsibilities:

• Preparing, cooking and helping to present dishes
• Helping to train any Demi-chef de parties or Commis working with you
• Helping the Sous chef and head chef to develop new dishes and menus
• Ensuring you and your team have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
• Monitoring portion and waste control
• Self-motivation

What we are looking for

To successfully fill this role, you should have the following:

• To communicate confidently with both groups and individuals at all levels.
• You will be organised, self-motivated and have the proven ability to multi-task.
• You must also be able to demonstrate attention to detail.

Role and Responsibilities

A commis chef is the first rung of the ladder to becoming a great chef. In most kitchens, a commis will do food preparation work and basic cooking under the supervision of a chef de partie.

A commis chef will have duties when first starting to work to help gain more experience.

The main focus of this role is to learn as much as possible to help give you the best chance of having a great career. This is a great role to help your team work skills as you will have to communicate with everyone. You can expect friendship and banter whilst doing some great food.

Key responsibilities:

• Maintaining high standards of hygiene
• Preparing the ingredients for a more senior chef
• Measuring dish ingredients and portion sizes accurately
• Dealing with deliveries and stock rotation
• Helping to maintain up to date HACCP
• Work quickly and efficiently to a high standard

What we are looking for
