We are a well known 45 bedroom independent hotel in a North Yorkshire with restaurant and event facilities. An exciting opportunity has arisen for Assistant Food & Beverage Managers with a focus on amazing customer service and support the growth of this ever developing department.

Reporting directly to the Food & Beverage Manager this position will assist in the management of the Food & Beverage team to ensure exemplary member and guest service.

Role and Responsibilities

• Assisting in the training and development of the F&B team to ensure standards and procedures are met in all areas.
• Improving and maintaining standards to ensure our member’s needs and expectations are met.
• Input during the weekly function sheet/departmental meetings.
• Controlling costs and maximising sales opportunities to ensure department targets are met.
• As part of this, very hands on role you will assist in the delivery of service in our F & B Department.
• You will be responsible for ensuring that manpower is effectively managed in order to achieve and exceed budgeted sales.
• You will build and maintain good relationships with other departments, senior management, key stakeholders, members and their guests.
• All in all you will be the face of the floor driving sales.

• Previous F&B supervisory experience is required

• The F&B Assistant Manager must have a flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.

Reporting directly to the Head Chef or Senior Chefs this position will assist in the running of a busy kitchen.

Role and Responsibilities

• A Chef De Partie’s main responsibility in the kitchen is to ensure daily Mise en Place for a given section is done in a timely and efficient manner.
• As a Chef De Partie you will be trained by Senior Chefs on each menu item thus improving your knowledge and skill base.
• Chef De Parties will also be responsible for passing on training to Commis Chefs to help both their learning.
• You must be fully competent in running a section in a busy service

The chef de partie position offers amazing opportunities to learn from and be inspired by the senior chefs in the kitchen, which will help your passion for food and keep you on the path for a great career.

Role and Responsibilities

A commis chef is the first rung of the ladder to becoming a great chef. In most kitchens, a commis will do food preparation work and basic cooking under the supervision of a chef de partie.

A commis chef will have duties when first starting to work to help gain more experience.

The main focus of this role is to learn as much as possible to help give you the best chance of having a great career. This is a great role to help your team work skills as you will have to communicate with everyone. You can expect friendship and banter whilst doing some great food.

Key responsibilities:

• Maintaining high standards of hygiene
• Preparing the ingredients for a more senior chef
• Measuring dish ingredients and portion sizes accurately
• Dealing with deliveries and stock rotation
• Helping to maintain up to date HACCP
• Work quickly and efficiently to a high standard

Restaurant Manager

A Restaurant Manager ensures that the restaurant operates efficiently and profitably while maintaining their reputation.The Manager is responsible for the business performance of their restaurant, as well as maintaining high standards of food, service, and health and safety.
Reports to
Operations Manager
Main Responsibilities
· To maintain a good communication and relation with the management team.· To be alert and ensure that the service is at all times performed in a professional   manner and to the style as specified by the Company.· To take responsibility for the business performance of the restaurant.· To analyse and plane restaurant sales levels and profitability.· To work in relation with the marketing department.· To prepare reports at the end of the week, including staff control and sales.· To set budgets and/or agree them with senior management.· To plane and coordinate menus and wines.· To coordinate the entire operation of the restaurant during scheduled shifts.· To manage staff and provide them with feedback.· To respond to customer complaints.· To ensure that all employees adhere to the company’s uniform standards.· To meet and greet customers and organising table reservations.· To advise customers on menu and wine choice.· To recruit, train and motivate staff.· To be aware of and promote all services offered in the Hotel.· To ensure that all guests’ wishes are met so far as is reasonably possible.· To ensure that all staff call guests by their correct names and title.· To liaise with other Departments.· To make sure that Company Policy is followed at all times.· To liaise with Reception and Reservation regarding table reservations and special requests.· To assist in the reaching of financial goals for the Food and Beverage department.· To assess and improve profitability.· To ensure that all appliances, fixtures and fittings are safe and work in accordance with Health & Safety regulations and report any faults to the Restaurant Manager or duty Manager any faults, as well as completing maintenance requests.· To understand special diet, allergies and cultural needs· To be fully aware of the Hotels Fire Safety procedures and Health and Safety regulations.· To make improvements to the running of the business and developing the restaurant.
