The Black Swan Hotel Yorkshire has been welcoming families for centuries and prides itself on its child friendly approach.
We offer a selection of rooms which are ideal for accommodating families. Our four Superior Bedrooms, which have just recently been refurbished, offer a nice large king sized bed and have plenty of room to accommodate your little ones, with separate sofa beds and extra beds available.
We also have three sets of interconnecting rooms available. These rooms are our Classic Bedrooms which have also recently been refurbished, and provide even more space for you and your family. With a bathroom in each bedroom, this certainly can be useful when you're trying to get ready for a day out!
A charge of £25 per child applies when your children are sharing a Superior Bedroom with you. This charge includes the extra bed and bedding, full English breakfast, bathrobes and children's toiletries, and applies to children up to the age of 16 years old. Children aged up to 4 years are welcome on a complimentary basis when sleeping in a cot bed. Children aged 16 years and over are classified as adults. Please note that if you do opt to book an interconnecting room for your children, this will be charged at the full adult rate.
We also offer a separate children's dinner menu which can be enjoyed either in the Rutland Restaurant or alternatively the more informal surroundings of the Brasserie or the Tearoom. The Rutland Restaurant is open from 7pm - 9.30pm, the Tearoom from 10am - 5.30pm, and the Brasserie from 6.30pm - 9.30pm. Any extras such as dinner, drinks etc will be charged for as taken and added to your room bill.
Extra Special Touches...
Our aim is to make everyone's stay special and memorable. With this in mind, we've come up with a special package for your children so that they can have their own adventure while mum and dad relax and enjoy their stay. Our "Kid's Stuff" package includes the following:
- Dinner from the Little Adults Menu for children in the tearoom, the brasserie or in the main restaurant
- Children’s’ DVD library and DVD player in your bedroom
- Children’s’ welcome pack, including juice and pop, sweets, popcorn, a selection of board games
- Your own Huggie Bear to take home with you as a souvenir of your stay at the Black Swan.
While your little ones are enjoying a fun night in, you are free to indulge in a delicious meal in the Rutland Restaurant prepared by our head chef and his team.
Please note that this package is charged at a supplement of £45 per child.
