New Year 2015 at The Black Swan Hotel


Welcome in the New Year and see out the old, in the beautiful, quaint market town of Helmsley. A warm welcome awaits you at The Black Swan Hotel, with its open fires, and convivial atmosphere for a two-night fabulous stay to celebrate the New Year.

Wednesday 30th December 2015

Your room will be available to check in from 2pm onwards on Wednesday afternoon. Once you’ve had chance to settle into your bedroom, mark the start of your New Year celebrations with a chilled glass of Taittinger Brut Prestige Rosé champagne and homemade scones with jam and clotted cream served throughout the afternoon in our lounges and bar.

A four course dinner will be served on Wednesday evening in The Gallery and Garden Room restaurants, followed by after dinner entertainment from Val Boyers, singer and acoustic guitarist, in the Cygnet Bar.

New Year’s Eve – Thursday 31st December 2015

Start New Year’s Eve with breakfast in The Gallery and Garden Room restaurants served from 8am until 10am. The final day of 2015 is for you to enjoy at your leisure.

At 7pm the party starts! The management team would like to invite you to join them for a pre-dinner Champagne Taittinger and canapés drinks reception in the Garden Room. A fabulous seven course dinner will then follow in The Gallery restaurant.

Please note that guests will be seated at mixed tables for dinner on New Year’s Eve. New Year’s Eve is a black tie event.

Throughout the drinks reception and dinner, you’ll be entertained by music from Adrian Doyle, swing and rat pack singer, and magician Mark Waddingham who’ll entertain you with his close up magic tricks.

After dinner the party really starts with our band ‘The Broadcast’ who will be playing in the Garden Room until the wee small hours. At midnight, we’d like to invite you to join us at the front of the hotel where 2016 will be welcomed in by Highland Bagpipes.

New Year’s Day – Friday 1st January 2016

Happy New Year!! A leisurely breakfast on New Year’s Day will be served on Friday morning from 8am – 11am. After breakfast, for those of you who choose to leave us, your room should be vacated by 12 noon.

For guests wishing to extend their New Year’s break, preferential rates are available between 27th December – 29th December 2015, inclusive, and from 1st January – 4th January 2016 inclusive. The rates below include a three course dinner from the A la Carte Menu and full English breakfast, and are per room, per night:

T&Cs: A deposit of £200.00 per room is required to secure your New Year booking. The balance for your stay should be settled by 1st December 2015. If you wish to extend your booking, these additional nights should be settled on departure from the hotel, however a deposit of £50.00 per night will be required for any additional nights booked. Provisional bookings can be held for up to one week, after this time they will be released if a deposit has not been received. Please note that all deposits are non-refundable. The New Year’s Eve Menu printed in this brochure is correct at the time of print, slight amendments and variations to this menu may occur. Any guests with dietary requirements should advise the hotel at least 14 days prior to arrival. Please note that on New Year’s Eve, guests will be seated at mixed tables for the Gala Dinner. Dress code for New Year’s Eve is black tie. Please note that unfortunately children are not permitted on our New Year package. The hotel reserves the right to amend the content of the package without prior notice.
