Please note that we operate a 24 hour cancellation policy, whereby if you wish to cancel your reservation you must inform us before 3pm on the day prior to arrival to ensure you incur no further charges.
At the time of booking we do take a deposit of £50.00 per room, per night. Please note that this is a non-refundable deposit. Should you need to cancel your booking for any reason, we do ask that you contact us before 3pm the day prior to arrival. At this point, we do permit you to amend your booking to a date in the future however this may incur a rate change, and a future date must be given at the time of cancellation. Bookings can be moved to a future date once however should you need to cancel the amended booking then full pre-paid deposit will be redeemed by the hotel. Payments made to the hotel will appear as Black Swan (Yorkshire) Ltd on your bank statements.
Cancellation within 24 hours of arrival will mean that you full pre-paid deposit will be redeemed by the hotel, or the remaining balance for the total of the first night of your stay will be taken, whichever is greater.
Provisional bookings are not accepted under any circumstances.
Please note, The Black Swan Hotel, Helmsley does not accept liability for any failure to provide services contracted, due to circumstances beyond our control. This includes postal communication, industrial action, plant failure, supply of utilities (gas, electricity and water) or fire alarm evacuation.
We do not currently accept online bookings originating from these areas:

- Democratic Republic of Congo
- Federal Republic of Yugoslavia & Serbia
- International Criminal Tribunal for The Former Yugoslavia
- North Korea (Democratic People’s Republic of Korea)
