By day, our New Year package is a relaxed affair, but as the lights go down, the Black Swan comes to life! That’s the best way to describe New Year at The Black Swan Hotel. At your leisure, join us in the Cygnet Bar or one of our cosy lounges and enjoy a welcome chocolate sweet treat with strawberries and a glass of bubbly to toast your arrival.
Dinner in the evening will be a leisurely affair, served in The Gallery, our award winning 3 AA rosette restaurant. After dinner, take a seat in the Cygnet Bar where you’ll be entertained by live music from singer Brian Dales.
New Year’s Eve – Wednesday 31st December 2014
After a hearty full English breakfast, the final day of 2014 is yours to enjoy at your leisure, allowing you time to mosey around Helmsley and explore the unique, quirky shops nestled throughout the town before getting ready for the evening’s celebrations.
From 7pm the management team would like to invite you to join them for a pre-dinner champagne and canapés reception held in the Garden Room. A fabulous seven course Gala Dinner prepared by Head Chef Paul Peters and his team will then follow in The Gallery. During dinner, magician Mark Waddington will entertain you with his up-close magic tricks.
After dinner, the party really starts with our live band Perfect Strangers, who will be playing in the Garden Room until the wee small hours. At midnight, we would like to invite you to join us at the front of the hotel where 2015 will be welcomed in by Highland Bagpipes and Auld Lang Syne.

Ham Hock Pressing – Pork Belly Bon Bon, Apple, Honey Cress, Cider Dressing

New Year’s Day – Thursday 1st January 2015
We’ll ease you into the New Year with breakfast served from 8am until 11am. Following breakfast it’ll be time for you to head back home until next time.
Two night package rates:
Classic Rooms – £815.00 (double), £580.00 (single)
Feature Rooms – £905.00 (double), £670.00 (single)
Superior Rooms – £905.00 (double), £670.00 (single)
Junior Suite – £925.00 (double), £690.00 (single)
Single Room – £540.00 (please note that we only have one single room)
For guests wishing to extend their New Year break to include the 27th – 30th December or 1st January a rate of £225.00 per room per night, including dinner, bed and breakfast, based on two people sharing a Classic room is available. Feature and Superior rooms are available at an additional charge of £30.00 per room per night.
T&Cs: A deposit of £200.00 is required to secure your New Year booking. The balance for your stay should be settled by 1st December 2014. If you wish to extend your booking, these additional nights should be settled on departure from the hotel. Provisional bookings can be held for up to one week, after this time they will be released if a deposit has not been received. Please note that all deposits are non-refundable. Closer to New Year sample menus will be available online, slight amendments and variations to these menus may occur. Any guests with dietary requirements should advise the hotel at least 14 days prior to arrival. Please note that on New Year’s Eve, guests will be seated at mixed tables for the Gala Dinner. Dress code for New Year’s Eve is black tie. Please note that unfortunately children are not permitted on our New Year package. The hotel reserves the right to amend the content of the package without prior notice.
