Meet the Team

There aren’t many hotels that can claim what the Black Swan can claim. Between just 6 long serving members of staff they’ve collectively clocked up over 200 years of service. Jean Barton, our longest serving member of staff and one of the Black Swan ‘favourites’ has provided over 55 years service in the restaurant on her own – that’s a lot of breakfasts!


Paul O'Hanlon

General Manager
Paul O'Hanlon joined The Black Swan in November 2011 when he moved over from Northern Ireland


Patrick Bardoulet

Head Chef
With over 30 years culinary experience in almost as many countries, Patrick brings a wealth of experience & cosmopolitan flair to the table


Andrew Allen

Financial Controller
Andrew arrived at The Black Swan in June 1991 as the Hotel Accountant and has just completed 25 years continuous service


Jayne Potter

Marketing and Events Manager
Jayne looks after the marketing & PR for the hotel, as well as looking after the many shooting parties that frequent the hotel


Alison Richardson

Head Housekeeper
Alison wouldn’t mind us saying she’s one of the old guard at The Black Swan having worked at the hotel for almost 30 years

Tearoom Manager
One of Alison’s passions in life is tea so the job of Tearoom Manager is the perfect job for her.

Revenue Manager
Like many of the Black Swan’s long serving team, Sue joined the Black Swan on the “glorious 12th” August 1991
